UAE celebrates its 45th National Day in Hanoi
VOV.VN - The red, white, green and black of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) flag flew proudly at the Melia Hanoi Hotel on December 2 as hundreds of people came out to mark 45th National Day.
It was also a day for Emirati meet up with fellow countrymen in Vietnam for enjoyment and to educate the younger generation on just how important this day is for the country.
In a speech at the event, Deputy Foreign Minister Vu Hong Nam noted that the ties of friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the UAE have flourished since they were established in 1993.
UAE Ambassador to Vietnam Khalid Ibrahim Shuhail in turn reiterated the UAE’s commitment to further strengthen the ties of cooperation between the two nation’s governments and collaboration between their business communities.
After 45 years, the UAE takes just pride in the strength of its institutions and its development that first came together in 1971 and he thanked Deputy Foreign Minister Nam for Vietnam’s support.
A lucky draw for Emirates airline return tickets to Abu Dhabi and Dubai was launched following a flag-raising ceremony as part of the celebration.
