PM Dung receives WB Country Director
VOV.VN - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung applauded the World Bank (WB) assistance, saying it helped Vietnam record remarkable achievements across a variety of fields.
At a reception for WB Country Director Victoria Kwakwa on March 30 in Hanoi, the Prime Minister urged the WB to provide further resources, policy consultation, and technical assistance to help Vietnam achieve its development goals, avoid the middle-income trap, and obtain higher economic growth.
The WB Country Director promised to work with other partners to find financial resources for Vietnam to realize its development goals and ensure sustainable budget debt payment.
Sharing concerns about Vietnam’s difficulties due to drought and saline intrusion, she said her organization will continue coordinating with relevant ministries and sectors to help Vietnam cope with climate change.
