Yeah1 films travel reality show in RoK's Gangneung City

VOV.VN - Gangneung City, a locality in the Republic of Korea’s Gangwon Province, has announced its collaboration with the Gangwon Tourism Organisation and Hanoi-based Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) office to support a Vietnamese film crew from Yeah1 producing a travel reality show in the city, Yonhap News reported.

The Vietnamese delegation, comprising approximately 20 members, including artists and production staff from Yeah1, a leading multimedia technology and media group in Vietnam, filmed in Gangneung from March 27–30. The programme follows a “healing travel” concept, emphasising cultural, culinary, natural, and entertainment experiences rather than traditional destination promotion.

The four-episode series, lasting about 20–25 minuteseach, is scheduled to air in April on television channels and online platforms in Vietnam. It reflects a growing trend among Vietnamese producers to expand content beyond domestic stories by exploring global destinations through a Vietnamese perspective.

The crew selected diverse filming sites, from art spaces and local markets to locations linked to popular culture, integrating everyday activities such as travel and dining into the narrative.

Eom Geum-mun, head of Gangneung’s Tourism Policy Division, said the filming presents a valuable opportunity to showcase the city’s tourism appeal to Vietnamese audiences. Eom added that the city would continue expanding global media cooperation to attract more international visitors.

Yeah1 previously gained attention with its “Haha Family” project, which followed artists exploring destinations across Vietnam, contributing to tourism promotion and local livelihoods.
