World’s largest drone show in Hanoi to ring in Lunar New Year of the Snake
VOV.VN - The capital city of Hanoi will stage the world’s largest firework drone show on January 28 evening, or Lunar New Year’s Eve, to ring in the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025.
The show will boast 2,205 drones and 4,050 fireworks that is expected to transform the skies of Hanoi into a massive light stage, according to the municipal People’s Committee.
The performance is set to be officially recognized by the Guinness World Records, and what's even more special is that Vietnam will break the Guinness World Record for the largest firework drone show in history.
The show will not only feature advanced lighting technology but also blend traditional and modern music that is anticipated to create a joyful atmosphere as people celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025.
This is part of the festival “International Light Wonder - Radiant Thang Long 2025” that will also recreate the poetic image of Hanoi, with folk melodies like Xẩm (ceremonial singing), Trống cơm (drum beating) and Ngồi tựa mạn thuyền (duet singing) performed in a contemporary style.
This fusion will create a beautiful connection between tradition and modernity, offering a unique musical experience that highlights the charm and timeless beauty of the capital. The blending of traditional tunes with modern interpretations promises to captivate both locals and visitors, evoking nostalgia while embracing the vibrant spirit of the city today.
The programme is expected to become one of the most significant cultural events in Hanoi in 2025.
