World stars to descend on Hanoi for “Brilliance in Harmony” concert
VOV.VN - Classical music lovers in Hanoi will be offered a treat as internationally renowned trumpet virtuoso Sergei Nakariakov and conductor Olivier Ochanine headline a special concert titled “Brilliance in Harmony: A Night of Musical Mastery”, with the event slated for August 16 at the Ho Guom Opera House.
The Sun Symphony Orchestra will join forces on stage, performing famous pieces to audiences, including Overture to The Marriage of Figaro, Trumpet Concerto in E Major. S. 49, and Suite No. 3 for Orchestra in G, Op. 55.
Furthermore, local tenor Dang Duong will sing two special songs with the orchestra in honour of the upcoming National Day of Vietnam, namely “Đàn chim Việt” composed by Van Cao and “Người Hà Nội” by Nguyen Dinh Thi.
Sergei Nakariakov, the Israeli-Russian trumpet player, has established himself as one of the most sought-after trumpet players on the international stage.
He has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the St. Petersburg Philharmonic. He has also recorded extensively for Teldec Classics and has toured many of the world's most prestigious music venues.
Olivier Ochanine is a French conductor and flutist. He is notable for being the first prize winner of the Antal Dorati International Conducting Competition in Budapest, Hungary, back in 2015 when he surpassed nearly 120 other conductors from 23 countries.
He was also winner of the prestigious The American Prize in 2015 in the Professional Orchestra Conducting division and the second prize winner in the London Classical Soloists International Conducting Competition in 2015.
The Ho Guom Opera House first opened to the public in 2023. So far the cultural hub has hosted nearly 50 art performances and events, featuring a wide range of prominent international artists, including saxophonist Kenny G, violinist Caroline Campbell, singer Katy Perry, and artists from the Royal Opera of Versailles.
The venue was also recognised as one of the top 10 opera houses globally by the World Travel Awards.
