Vietnamese Tet Space 2026 connects tradition and modern life in Hanoi
VOV.VN -The “Vietnamese Tet Space 2026” programme will take place from February 6 to 13, 2026 (the 19th to 26th day of the twelfth lunar month) at Thong Nhat Park, offering a destination for shopping, cultural experiences and leisure activities ahead of the Lunar New Year of the Horse.
The event aims to recreate the traditional Tet atmosphere of Hanoi and other regions in a carefully curated setting, while stimulating domestic consumption and promoting Vietnamese products as well as Hanoi’s cultural and tourism image to residents and visitors.
According to the organisers, the programme blends traditional Tet values with contemporary elements, with spaces designed to balance commerce, culture, experience and tourism. Key areas include exhibition and retail zones for year-end shopping; a promotion area for One Commune, One Product (OCOP) items; and displays of handicrafts and traditional craft villages, combined with decorative installations and photo spots.
Throughout the eight-day programme, a series of Tet-themed activities will be held, featuring familiar customs such as Tet food displays, making banh chung (traditional square sticky rice cakes), arranging five-fruit trays (symbolic offerings of five fruits), calligraphy and folk games, alongside hands-on activities for families and children.
More than 60 businesses, cooperatives and production facilities from various localities nationwide are expected to take part, introducing regional specialties, Tet goods and handicraft products. In addition to traditional items and OCOP products (One Commune, One Product, rated from three to five stars), the event will also present essential consumer goods, technology products, smart devices and digital solutions, as well as an ornamental plant area catering to Tet decoration needs.
Beyond shopping, Vietnamese Tet Space 2026 is expected to create opportunities for product distribution and market access for specialty goods, OCOP products, agricultural produce, processed foods and handicrafts, enabling businesses and cooperatives to connect directly with consumers and distribution partners.
The programme is scheduled to open at 7:00 p.m. on February 6, 2026, at Thong Nhat Park, with an opening night art performance. The venue will be open to visitors from February 6 to 13, 2026.
