Vietnamese paintings on show at Asian Art in London
VOV.VN - Famous art works by Vietnamese painters Nguyen Tu Nghiem and Bui Xuan Phai from Paul Hugentobler collection are being displayed at two art galleries in London on November 5-9 within the framework of the Asian Art Week.
Attendees at the event were introduced to the history of Vietnam’s contemporary fine arts, the establishment of the Indochina College of Fine Arts, and the influence of some French painters on the formation of Vietnam’s contemporary fine arts. They also contemplated works of painters Nguyen Tu Nghiem and Bui Xuan Phai as well as other Vietnamese painters.
The exhibited works drew great attention from viewers, many of whom later bought biography books on the life and works of these two renowned Vietnamese painters.
