Vietnamese lion-dragon dance introduced at Vietnam Days Abroad
VOV.VN - A special lion-dragon dance performance bearing images of Vietnamese mascots will be introduced at Vietnam Day Abroad 2024, which is scheduled to take place from November 15 to November 17 in Rio de Janeiro of Brazil.
The event was unveiled at a press conference held on November 6 in Hanoi as part of efforts to unveil the Vietnam Days Abroad.
The function is to be held on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Brazil and marking the 25th anniversary of Vietnam - Saudi Arabia diplomatic ties.
A wide range of activities will be held during the course of the occasion, including a water puppetry show put on by artist Phan Thanh Liem, a Vietnamese cultural space to introduce Dong Ho folk paintings by artist Nguyen Dang Tam, and sophisticated lacquer works by artist Tran Anh Tuan.
Dozens of unique Vietnamese dishes will be introduced through cooking workshops and a demonstration put on by culinary expert Nguyen Thuong Quan.
Vietnam Days Abroad is an annual national promotion programme that has been assigned by the Prime Minister to the Department of Cultural Diplomacy and UNESCO under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2010.
