Vietnamese cultural heritage exhibition to take place in Hanoi, HCM City
VOV.VN - The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has announced that the exhibition “Vietnamese Cultural Heritage – Vitality from Tradition to Modernity” will take place in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in the fourth quarter of the year.

The exhibition, to be held simultaneously at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi and the Ho Chi Minh Museum – Ho Chi Minh City branch, will showcase between 150 and 200 prominent images that provide a comprehensive overview of Vietnam’s cultural heritage and its efforts in preserving and promoting its value in the modern era.
In addition to visual materials, the exhibition will feature exquisite handcrafted products made by Vietnamese artisans, highlighting the refined techniques and long-standing traditions that have fueled national renewal and inspired the country's development aspirations.
Divided into four main thematic sections, the exhibition will explore the legal and policy framework for cultural heritage protection, UNESCO-recognised Vietnamese heritages, the unique values of Vietnamese cultural heritage, and the cultural heritage for sustainable development.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the exhibition aims to raise public awareness of the historical, cultural, artistic, and scientific significance of Vietnamese cultural heritage. It also seeks to instill national pride and preserve cultural identity, particularly among the younger generation.
Hosting the event in both northern and southern regions is expected to broaden public access to cultural treasures across the country, bridge regional gaps in cultural engagement, and ensure balanced and representative heritage promotion efforts.
By featuring diverse heritages from different ethnic groups and regions, the exhibition will celebrate the unity in diversity of Vietnamese culture, promote intercultural exchange, and foster mutual respect among communities. It also serves as an opportunity to introduce Vietnam’s rich cultural legacy to the world, reinforcing the country’s soft power and cultural diplomacy.
