VOV.VN - A music gala to mark the beginning of a series of Vietnamese Cultural Days was recently held in St. Petersburg, Russia, as part of the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Year 2019.

The gala is one of many events being held to celebrate Vietnam Year in Russia 2019.
The special musical performance is put together by artists from the Vietnam National Music, Song and Dance Theatre as a way of celebrating the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Year.
The performance introduces the country’s many musical instruments to the Russian hosts.
A singer performs songs about ethnic minority groups with images of the nation’s countryside as a backdrop.
Lanterns, a common sight in the old quarter of Hoi An, were featured during an Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress) fashion show.

The performance catches the eye of many foreign friends who gain a fresh understanding of Vietnam.

The culture of Vietnam’s Central Highlands region was put on display through images accompanied by musical performances.
