Vietnamese contestant makes debut at ZhongSin Music Competition gala
VOV.VN - Le Anh Huy became the first Vietnamese contestant to take the stage at the gala of the 19th ZhongSin International Music Competition, recently held in Singapore with over 1,000 participants from 25 countries and territories.
Huy earned an impressive award at the competition, with his gala performance being one of only three selected by the judging panel.
This marks the first time in 19 years that a Vietnamese contestant has been chosen to perform on the gala stage.
At the 19th ZhongSin International Music Competition, held in Singapore from January 21 to 24, Vietnam secured a total of 29 first prizes across various categories, including piano, violin, vocals, drums, guitar, electric guitar, and traditional musical instruments.
Vietnamese contestants also claimed 27 second prizes in piano, vocals, and traditional instruments, along with six third prizes in piano and violin.
First launched in 2006, the event is among Singapore’s most prestigious music competitions. Since 2023, Vietnam has officially been granted the rights to host the regional qualifying round.
