Vietnamese ballet dancer claims top prize at Asia-Pacific Arts Festival

VOV.VN - Vietnamese ballet dancer Nguyen Duc Hieu has won first prize in the Open Age Dance Performance category at the Chengdu International Grand Finals of the Asia-Pacific Arts Festival, held recently in China.

The 26-year-old dancer outperformed hundreds of contestants worldwide to reach the final and claim first place. This achievement highlights Duc Hieu’s talent and dedication, while showcasing the growing prominence of Vietnamese performing arts on the international stage.

Duc Hieu is known as one of the prominent figures of the Vietnam National Opera & Ballet, having left many impressions on fans through classic ballets such as Don Quixote (2025), Cinderella (2024), Swan Lake (2024).

He has also shone in contemporary works, namely Dong Ho (2023) and Do (2024, 2025).

He previously won gold medals at the 2024 International Dance Festival and the 2020 National Dance Competition, among other recognitions from professional organisations in Vietnam and abroad.
