Vietnam Design Week 2023 set to kick off late September

VOV.VN - Vietnam Design Week 2023, the largest event of its kind to be held in the country, is scheduled to run from September 23 to September 29 at the Temple of Literature in Hanoi, with the occasion aiming to honour the nation’s outstanding products and designers.

A series of activities will duly be held within the framework of the programme, including the Designed by Vietnam contest, Design of the Year award, and Design Fair Vietnam.

The Designed by Vietnam contest is running with the theme of “Embracing Constraints” and was originally launched back in late April. So far, the organising board has received 150 entries.

As many as 31 designs have been selected to take part in an exhibition during Vietnam Design Week 2023 and the final round.

The highlight of the event is set to be the Design of the Year Award 2023 which will be held for the first time in order to honour the best designs in Vietnam.

In addition, 50 exhibitors will come together to display their products in different fields, such as furniture and decoration, handicrafts, fashion, and media across more than 100 booths during the Design Fair Vietnam.

This represents the first and largest annual event held jointly by Vietnam Design Group, Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts Studies (VICAS), the Copyright Office of Vietnam (COV) under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Hanoi Municipal Department of Culture and Sports, and aims to both find and honour outstanding products and designers of the nation.
