Top Vietnamese singers to headline national unity concert on Nov. 1

VOV.VN - Many Vietnamese pop stars are expected to perform at the national concert “Proud to Be Vietnamese 2026” to be held at Thai Nguyen Stadium on November 1 to celebrate national unity, history and cultural heritage.

Stars such as Tung Duong, Hoa Minzy, Noo Phuoc Thinh and Vo Ha Tram will take part in the programmealongside the Symphony Band, Du Ca vocal group, Golden Lotus Bud Club, Vietnamese beauty queens and supporting dancers, organisers said.

The concert, themed “Nối vòng tay lớn” (Joining Hands), is directed by the Party Central Committee's Commission for Publicity and Education and jointly organised by the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, the provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies.

The theme “Joining Hands” was chosen in the lead-up to the Great National Unity Festival on November 18, Vietnamese Culture Day on November 24 and the 80th anniversary of the National Resistance Day on December 19, 2026.

The concert will trace the spirit of unity among Vietnamese people through different periods of history, from the struggles of wartime to the work of national reconstruction and development. It aims to connect the sacrifices and shared experiences of previous generations with the sense of community that continues to shape Vietnamese society today.

Thai Nguyen was selected as the venue because of its place in the history of Vietnam’s revolutionary movement. The province formed part of the Viet Bac revolutionary base during the resistance against French colonial rule.

The concert is also part of the activities associated with the Thai Nguyen International Tea Festival 2026.

The programme will begin at 8pm and comprise two parts. The first will last 90 minutes and be broadcast live on VTV1, followed by a 60-minute music festival for the public. It is expected to attract around 30,000 spectators.

Held annually, the “Proud to Be Vietnamese” concert series celebrates Vietnam’s history, cultural traditions, gratitude to previous generations and national solidarity. The 2026 edition continues this theme by bringing together artists and audiences to reflect on the bonds connecting the country’s past and present.
