The Kid Laroi arrives in Vietnam for 8Wonder Summer 2025
VOV.VN - Australian rapper The Kid Laroi, best known for his global hit Stay, landed at Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi, late on August 19 to join 8Wonder Summer 2025: Moments of Wonder, slated for August 23.

The 22-year-old artist appeared in casual, energetic attire and looked full of vitality after his long journey. He warmly greeted fans, shaking hands, chatting, and taking photos with them. The Gen Z star even snapped a photo of a Vietnamese fan outside the airport and shared it on his personal social media account with over 4 million followers, expressing gratitude for the warm welcome he received in Vietnam.
After the brief airport interaction, The Kid Laroi and his team were escorted by the organisers’ vehicles to their accommodation for rest, ahead of rehearsals and soundchecks. He and his crew are set to practice and run through performances before officially taking the stage at 8Wonder Summer 2025: Moments of Wonder at the Vietnam Exhibition Centre in Dong Anh, Hanoi, on the evening of August 23.
In his Vietnam debut, The Kid Laroi is expected to deliver standout performances alongside other international stars, including DJ Snake, J Balvin, and DPR IAN. He will also share the stage with several talented young Vietnamese artists, notably Soobin and Hoa Minzy.
Born in 2003 in Australia, The Kid Laroi, whose real name is Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard, is one of the most sought-after Gen Z rappers and singers today. Discovered by Triple J Unearthed in 2016, he gained a large following before signing with Grade A Productions, a joint venture with Columbia Records.
In 2021, at just 18 years old, The Kid Laroi became a global phenomenon with Stay, his collaboration with Justin Bieber. The track topped music charts in multiple countries, dominated the Billboard Hot 100, and racked up massive streaming numbers. On YouTube alone, the song has surpassed 1 billion views.
Beyond Stay, The Kid Laroi has left his mark on international charts with hits such as Love Again, Too Much, Without You, and Girl. To date, he has released one studio album The First Time (in 2023), two EPs, more than 30 singles, 40 music videos, and has embarked on several international tours.
