Super24 Vietnam dance event to debut in Ho Chi Minh City

VOV.VN - The first ever Super24 Vietnam 2026 dance competition will be held in Ho Chi Minh City on April 18, serving as a platform connecting professional dancers while opening a space for creative exchange between dance and music.

Originating in Singapore, Super24 is one of Southeast Asia’s notable dance performance formats, featuring 24 dancers performing on a 360-degree stage. The organisers said the introduction of Super24 in Vietnam aims to create a professional, fair and high-quality platform for the domestic dance community.

Super24 Vietnam 2026 will feature 10 competing teams under the theme “Dance × Indie – A shared language of young creativity”, combining street dance and indie music. The judging panel includes dancers and choreographers such as Sanbra Johnson, winner of season three of So You Think You Can Dance in the United States, along with Alexander Tu, Alif Aircho, Faris Azim, Hoang Dai and Maitinhvi.

Choreographer Alexander Tu, a representative of the organisers, said the winning group will represent Vietnam at Super24 in Singapore. He added that Super24 Vietnam is intended not only as a single event but as part of a broader vision to gradually build Vietnam into a meeting point for the regional dance community.
