Special symphony concert set to enthrall HCM City audience
VOV.VN - As many as 100 leading artists from the Hanoi Symphony Orchestra and the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet, Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO) are scheduled to perform on the same stage for the first time during a special concert slated for April 24 - 25 in HCM City.
The event, to be staged in co-operation with the Vietnam National Academy of Music, will feature three 19th century composers, Beethoven, Bruch, and Brahms.
Most notably, the show will attract the participation of three celebrities, the HBSO Director of Music, Meritorious Artist Trang Vuong Thach as conductor, Meritorious Artist Bui Cong Duy as the solo violinist, along with Pham Vu Thien Bao as the solo viola player.
The unique concert will make up one of the activities to celebrate the 46th anniversary of Southern Vietnam’s Liberation and Reunification Day on April 30, along with 65 years since the establishment of the Vietnam National Academy of Music.
