Special art programme in Xiengkhouang honours Vietnam-Laos friendship

VOV.VN - A special art programme titled “Vietnam-Laos Friendship Pagoda” was held on the evening of April 11 in Xiengkhouang by the Central Cultural Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and relevant Lao and Vietnamese agencies and organisations.

The programme brought emotional moments to audiences at the Vietnam-Laos Martyrs Memorial Site.

Performances by artists from both countries recalled heroic moments in history, honoured the Vietnam–Laos friendship and paid tribute to the sacrifices of martyrs.

Each song and performance offered a glimpse into cultural values with profound human meaning, conveying gratitude and linking the past with the present, as well as memory with aspirations of the two nations.

Through music and artistic performances, the programme aimed to evoke confidence and national pride, particularly among younger generations in both countries, while affirming the close and enduring ties between Vietnam and Laos. These ties continue to be preserved and carried forward in a new era, for the benefit of the two nations’ people and for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region.

The programme concluded with a fireworks display, adding to the solemn and meaningful atmosphere of the event.
