VOV.VN - Vietnamese singer Chipu has been named in the Asia-Pacific Leaders Under 35 (U35) list alongside many other prominent figures from around the world.
The recognition was announced at the 2025 Asia-Pacific Entrepreneurs Annual Forum (APEA), held recently on the sidelines of the APEC Summit in the Republic of Korea. Chipu was honored in the Culture, Sports, and Arts category.
According to the organizing committee, 141 individuals were selected to acknowledge outstanding entrepreneurs and influential figures who have made distinctive contributions to the economic growth and social progress of the Asia-Pacific region.
This year’s forum, themed “Integration and Creation, Prosperity and Innovation,” highlighted the vital role of young innovators in advancing regional economic integration, technological transformation, and sustainable development.
Honorees were chosen based on three main criteria: personal achievements (40%), social contributions (30%), and international influence (30%).
Chipu, 32, whose real name is Nguyen Thuy Chi, is an actress, model, producer, singer, and TV host. She first rose to prominence in 2009 after reaching the top 20 of Miss Teen Vietnam, later establishing herself as a teen idol and versatile entertainer.
In recent years, Chipu has gained growing popularity in China after finishing sixth on the hit reality show “Sisters Who Make Waves.” She has since been featured in various Chinese television programs and major events, further expanding her regional presence.
