Second International Photography Festival in Ho Chi Minh City promotes creative tech
VOV.VN - Ho Chi Minh City launched the second International Photography Festival 2025 on November 28 at the Youth Cultural House, under the theme Photography Without Borders-Connecting Creative Technology.
The festival runs through November 30 at the Youth Cultural House and other central cultural spaces across the city.
The event, one of the city’s signature cultural and creative activities this year, attracts more than 100 international and Vietnamese photographers, along with photography schools, tech companies, media, tourism organizations, and photography enthusiasts.
According to Doan Hoai Trung, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association, the festival is designed to highlight the city as a creative, open urban center with a vibrant cultural life, provide a professional platform for both established and emerging photographers, and strengthen international cooperation and networks between Vietnamese artists and global photography organizations.
The festival also contributes to the city’s cultural industry development strategy, promoting links between tourism, technology, and media through photography. “The event encourages creative storytelling and helps the community preserve cultural values through photography,” Doan Hoai Trung said.
The 2025 festival features 60 exhibition booths showcasing cameras, printers, photography supplies, works by members of local clubs and associations, and culinary stalls.
Four major exhibitions are on display: “Photography Without Borders” at Ho Chi Minh City Book Street; the results of the 3rd International City Photography Contest at the Union of Literature and Arts Associations; the 15th Ho Chi Minh City Regional Photo Festival at the Youth Cultural House; and “Epic of the Times,” featuring photographers from Hanoi, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City.
Additional activities include the Photo Marathon “Dynamic Destinations,” the 2025 International Photography Creation Camp with the theme “Ho Chi Minh City through the Eyes of International Photography,” on-site photography, technical workshops, creative partnerships, and artistic performances.
