Themed “Vì một Việt Nam thịnh vượng” (For a Prosperous Vietnam), the event marks the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – 2025), National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2025), the 80th traditional day of the People’s Public Security Force (August 19, 1945 – 2025), and the 20th anniversary of the All-People Security Safeguard Festival (August 19, 2005 – August 19, 2025).

The programme honors the country’s cultural and historical values, celebrating the patriotism and indomitable spirit of generations of Vietnamese who sacrificed for national independence and freedom under the leadership of the Communist Party. It also highlights the nation’s achievements over the past eight decades, particularly during 40 years of national renewal, and conveys the determination of the Party, army, and people to lead Vietnam into a new era of development, an era of national rise, fulfilling the vision of a strong country with prosperous people and a fair, democratic, civilized society.

“Sao Doc Lap” will feature three chapters with 15 outstanding performances combining singing, dancing, music, and narration, enhanced with state-of-the-art sound, lighting, hologram, laser, and 3D LED effects.

The programme will showcase performances by some of Vietnam’s most celebrated artists and will be broadcast live on VTV1.

Special art programme to honour 50 years of national reunification

VOV.VN - Voice of Vietnam Radio (VOV) is scheduled to host a special political-artistic programme titled “The Song of Triumph” in Hanoi on April 25 in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – 2025) and towards the 80th anniversary of the national broadcaster.
