Phuong Anh among favourites ahead of Miss International 2022
VOV.VN - Pham Ngoc Phuong Anh, the Vietnamese representative at the upcoming Miss International 2022 pageant, is expected to be named among its Top 5 leaderboard, according to predictions made by popular beauty website Sash Factor of the Philippines.
In its first picks, Peruvian Tati Calmell is expected to be crowned Miss International 2022. The 27-year-old beauty is currently working as a model and actress back in her native country.
Second position went to Maya Albert of France, with the 22-year-old model expected to be the strongest candidate from Europe competing at the global pageant.
Elsewhere, Hannah Arnold of the Philippines and Yuridia Durán of Mexico came in third and fourth, respectively.
Rounding off the Top 5 is Vietnamese representative Phuong Anh. Others to make the Top 10 include beauties from Indonesia, Colombia, Venezuela, and the Czech Republic.
Phuong Anh, 22, stands at 1.77 metres tall with measurements of 87-61-93. The Ho Chi Minh City native first rose to prominence by winning the first runner-up title at Miss Vietnam 2020, thereby meeting the criteria to participate in the 2022 Miss International pageant.
First launched back in 1960, Miss International makes up one of the Big Four international beauty competitions, alongside Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss Earth. The current version of the contest was originally scheduled to take place in Japan in 2021, but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In previous competitions, Vietnamese representatives have won several high prizes, including Pham Hong Thuy Van who finished as the third runner-up in 2015 and Tuong San who was among the Top 8 finalists in 2019.
