Phuong Anh named among top 10 hot picks by Itspageantstimes
VOV.VN - As the world’s leading publication on beauty pageants, Itspageantstimes has selected local representative Phuong Anh among its top 10 finalists in its second hot picks for the upcoming 60th Miss International pageant.
According to the latest rankings, Phuong Anh, who previously won the first runner-up title at the Miss Vietnam 2020 pageant, comes eighth in the overall list.
Elsewhere, Miss Philippines was selected as the favourite to be crowned winner of the beauty contest, while other beauties from Kenya and Mexico were also picked for the first and second runner-up titles, respectively.
Completing the list of the top 10 are contestants from the Ecuador, France, India, Venezuela, Panama, and Indonesia.
This comes following prestigious global publication Missosology picking Vietnamese representative Phuong Anh as the first runner-up winner.
In line with this, Miss Panama is forecast to be crowned Miss International 2022, whilst the others in the top five are expected to be the girls from Kenya, the Czech Republic, and Mexico.
22-year-old Pham Ngoc Phuong Anh stands at 1.77 metres tall, with measures 87-61-93. Born in Ho Chi Minh City, she first rose to prominence by winning the first runner-up title at the Miss Vietnam 2020 pageant and will therefore represent the country at the 2021 Miss International pageant.
Originally launched back in 1960, Miss International makes up one of the Big Four international beauty competitions, including Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss Earth. This year’s contest is scheduled to take place in Japan in November.
In previous versions of the event, Vietnamese representatives have won high prizes at the Miss International pageant, including Pham Hong Thuy Van who won the third runner-up title in 2015 and Tuong San who clinched a finish among the leading eight contestants back in 2019.
