Over 50,000 fans rock with local and foreign artists at 8Wonder 2025

VOV.VN - The international music festival 8Wonder 2025, themed “Moments of Wonder”, transformed the National Exposition Centre in Hanoi into a sea of music and energy on the evening of August 23, as more than 50,000 fans joined Vietnamese and international stars on stage.

Despite a sudden heavy downpour just before showtime that caused difficulties in ticket control and wristband exchange, tens of thousands of fans patiently waited outside from early morning, filling every path leading to the venue. Some even arrived as early as 6 a.m. to secure the best spots. That patience and passion turned 8Wonder into a true music feast, where the audience itself became the driving force of the explosive night.

Opening the stage, Trong Hieu lit up the atmosphere with powerful dance moves and a modern performance style, proving the caliber of Vietnamese artists standing alongside global stars.

The international lineup then took turns igniting the crowd, with DJ Snake unleashing a storm with hit tracks like Lean On, Turn Down for What, and Taki Taki, and Colombia’s J Balvin heating up the night with vibrant Latin beats. The Kid LAROI led tens of thousands in unison with his modern global anthems, while DPR IAN showcased the undeniable global appeal of K-pop.

Adding to the unique connection between Vietnamese and global music, V-pop representatives delivered unforgettable moments. Hoa Minzy, joined by 200 children, set the stage ablaze with “Bắc Bling” at the Wonder Sound Lab, where music was created from everyday sounds.

In a dreamlike riverside setting, Soobin transported the audience into a realm of nostalgia with Ngồi tựa mạn thuyền (Sitting by the boat’s side) and the medley Người Việt – Trống Cơm (The Vietnamese – Rice Drum), evoking national pride. He then thrilled the crowd as he switched between the đàn bầu (Vietnamese monochord) and piano, before bursting into modern hits such as Tháng Năm (May), Daydreams, Dancing in the Dark, BlackJack, and Superstar. Meanwhile, tlinh energized the stage with her fresh, youthful style, representing the voice of Gen Z.

More than just a star-studded concert, 8Wonder 2025 marked a significant milestone for Vietnam’s performance and entertainment industry. With its massive scale, cutting-edge sound and lighting technology, and a lineup of world-class artists, the event set a new benchmark for future music festivals and reaffirmed Vietnam’s position on the international entertainment map.

The night ended in thunderous applause and dazzling lights, leaving behind unforgettable memories. 8Wonder 2025 not only celebrated the joy of music but also conveyed a message of a dynamic, creative, and globally integrated cultural industry. The magical moments of the night connected people, cultures, and music, signaling Vietnam’s new step toward becoming a destination for the world’s top music festivals.

The festival was a highlight in the series of celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day (September 2, 1945 –2025). The event was organised by Vingroup, with the partnership of VietinBank, Vietcombank, and BIDV.
