“Ngựa với sắc xuân Bính Ngọ 2026” fine art exhibition opens in Hue
VOV.VN - The Hue Museum of Fine Arts has opened the themed exhibition “Ngựa với sắc xuân Bính Ngọ 2026” (Horse and the Colours of Spring - the Year of the Horse 2026), presenting 34 works by 23 artists in painting and sculpture.
The event features a wide range of materials, including oil and lacquer painting, acrylic, ceramics, iron, aluminium, powder pigments, monoprint and mixed media.
Alongside new works by painters and sculptors from Hue and other localities, it introduces representative horse-themed works by late renowned artist Le Ba Dang, including “Saint Giong’s Horse.”
With the horse as the central motif for the Spring of Binh Ngo 2026, the works convey strength, resilience and a yearning for freedom in Eastern culture. The theme is also associated with the Long Ma (Dragon Horse) symbol of Hue, the former imperial capital, representing integrity, courage and the spirit of the noble-minded.
The exhibition offers the public an engaging artistic space in the early days of the Lunar New Year and serves as a forum for professional exchange, contributing to the vitality of the local art scene and the creative community.
The exhibition is open to visitors at the Hue Museum of Fine Arts, 15 Le Loi street, Thuan Hoa ward, through February 27, including during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year holiday.
