National forum highlights business culture as driver of economic value
VOV.VN - The annual “Culture and Business” National Forum 2026 will take place in Hanoi on November 8, marking the 10th anniversary of the campaign to build Vietnam's corporate culture.
This year's forum marks a strategic shift from building foundational values and standards to organizing forces, developing tools, and accelerate implementation.
The event supports the Party Central Committee's resolutions on private sector development, the state-owned economy, culture, and overseas Vietnamese affairs. From a business perspective, it focuses on improving governance quality and accountability across all economic sectors, using culture as a development resource, and connecting the global Vietnamese business community.
Scheduled for November 8, the program features a 10-year commemoration, a policy dialogue, the introduction of the 2026-2035 Action Framework, and an awards ceremony honoring companies meeting the 2026 Vietnam Business Culture Standards. The policy dialogue will examine how business culture builds trust, reputation, and competitiveness for enterprises, thereby contributing to national composite strength.
Ho Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Business Culture Development (VNABC), noted that the policy dialogue will analyze changes in corporate governance, the business environment, and coordination mechanisms to ensure cultural values are practiced consistently to generate measurable economic output.
The forum will outline the 2026-2035 Action Framework for Vietnam's Business Culture Development. The framework comprises nine tool components, four action programs, and two target projects: "Building Business Culture into a Key Pillar Converting Cultural Values into Economic Values" and "Developing Business Culture as a Sustainable Foundation for Cultural Industries."
Over the past decade, VNABC, the campaign to build Vietnam's corporate culture, state agencies, enterprises, and experts have established foundational values, practice standards, a business community, and dialogue channels. The rollout of the Vietnam Business Culture Criteria Set provides a baseline for evaluating, honoring, and guiding companies in improving their cultural practices.
