Mozambican artists to perform in Hanoi
A performance by the National Song And Dance Company of Mozambique will be held on June 16 at Hanoi Opera House.
This is the first time the Mozambican national troupe will perform in Vietnam, marking the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Mozambique.
Their repertoire will range from traditional dances, choral and instrumental music to modern African ballet, reciting poems and storytelling, all of which will highlight Mozambique's rich and diverse culture.
The National Song And Dance Company of Mozambique was set up in 1983 in a bid to collect, preserve and demonstrate the value of Mozambican traditional arts. Those performing were selected among the best performers in each of the 10 provinces in Mozambique.
The performance will begin at 8pm.
