The Miss World Organization on May 15 released the official schedule for the pageant, confirming that key activities will take place in Ho Chi Minh City.

One of the most anticipated segments is “Dances of the World”, scheduled for August 30, combining music, dance and national costumes to celebrate the cultural diversity and heritage of participating countries.

The final night will take place on September 5 in Ho Chi Minh City, marking the 75th anniversary of the Miss World Organization.

Introducing the host city, organisers described Ho Chi Minh City as a city in constant motion, the economic centre of Vietnam and the heart of the southern region. They noted the contrast between past and present, blending historical landmarks with modern skyscrapers, showing a country that continues to develop while preserving its rich heritage. Its fast pace, busy streets and vibrant energy make it one of Southeast Asia’s most vibrant urban destinations.

Vietnam was officially announced as the host of the 73rd Miss World pageant at the semi-final night of Miss World Vietnam 2025 on March 25, organised by Sen Vang Entertainment. This marks the first time Vietnam has hosted Miss World, one of the longest-running and most prestigious beauty pageants in the world.

Hosting Miss World 2026 opens up opportunities to promote Vietnam’s culture, tourism and image to international friends, while requiring professional organisation in line with international standards and close monitoring by global media and the public. The reigning titleholder, Opal Suchata Chuangsri, will crown her successor at the final.

Vietnam will be represented by Bao Ngoc, who previously won Miss Intercontinental 2022 and was first runner-up at Miss World Vietnam 2022.

First held in 1951, Miss World has, over more than 70 years, become closely linked with “Beauty with a Purpose” and is regarded as one of the most prestigious beauty pageants in the world.
