Miss Vietnam tests negative for COVID-19 in US

VOV.VN - Do Thi Ha, the Vietnamese representative at the Miss World 2021 pageant, received a negative COVID-19 test result following two weeks of treatment in the US.

Ha announced the information via her Facebook page on January 7, adding that she had been given a negative PCR test and quick test results.

The girl said that her health condition now remains stable and she is still waiting for her final PCR test.

Ha hopes to quickly recover so she can return home for the upcoming Lunar New Year, known locally as Tet.

The Vietnamese beauty queen said on December 23 that she had tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, forcing her to cancel her return flight to Vietnam and stay in the US for COVID-19 treatment.

Ha revealed that she had had close contact with four F0 cases at Miss World 2021 which saw the finale originally slated for December 17 postponed due to the outbreak. At least 17 contestants and staff members of Miss World 2021 tested positive for COVID-19.

The Vietnamese girl is scheduled to head back to Puerto Rico on March 16 to compete in the grand final of the pageant alongside the other finalists.

Ha was crowned Miss Vietnam 2020 and went on to represent Vietnam at Miss World 2021. She has taken part in several segments and left a positive impression on both judges and audiences due to her friendly nature and dynamism during the pageant.

She has set a target of claiming a Top 5 finish in the grand finale.
