Do Thi Ha to return for Miss World grand final in March
VOV.VN - Vietnamese representative Do Thi Ha will head back to Puerto Rico on March 16, 2022, to compete in the grand final of the Miss World 2021 pageant alongside the other finalists, according to organisers.
The final night of the global pageant was originally scheduled for December 17, but at least 17 contestants and staff members of Miss World 2021 tested positive for the COVID-19 pandemic, with organisers immediately deciding to postpone the pageant’s finale in an effort to halt the spread of the virus.
“To Ha’s fans, I have tested negative. Do not worry,” the local beauty wrote on the Facebook fanpage on December 17.
This comes after the Vietnamese contestant said she had come into close contact with four F0 cases at Miss World 2021, although she went on to test negative for COVID-19 once.
Do Thi Ha was crowned Miss Vietnam 2020 and went on to represent the nation in Miss World 2021. She has taken part in several competition and left a positive impression on both judges and audiences due to her friendliness and dynamism during the world pageant.
Whilst the Vietnamese girl couldn’t secure a ticket to progress to the Top 30 after taking part in some of the earlier sub-contests, she has set the target of claiming a Top 5 finish in the grand finale.
Currently, Ha is the United States and she cannot return to Vietnam due to COVID-19 treatment.
