Notably, Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau was among the Top 3 in the online competition before winning the national title. In the same year, beauty queen Le Nam won the online competition and later secured a spot in the Top 16 of the main event.

Along with Miss Vietnam and Miss World Vietnam, Miss Cosmo Vietnam is one of the three largest national beauty contests.

In the past its name was Miss Universe Vietnam and changed into Miss Cosmo Vietnam in 2023. It aims to seek a Vietnamese representative in the Miss Cosmo pageant

The current crown belongs to Bui Thi Xuan Hanh who was crowned on December 31, 2023, in Da Lat city. She finished in the Top 5 of the Miss Cosmo 2024 pageant.
