Michelin-starred chefs to join international arts and culinary festival in Da Nang
VOV.VN - An international arts and culinary festival gathering Michelin-starred chefs, culinary artisans and renowned artists will take place in the central city of Da Nang this June, promising a journey that blends art, cuisine and nature along the city’s coastline.
From June 6 to 11, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort will host “Artisan Stories”, an arts and culinary festival bringing together some of the world’s leading chefs, artists and culinary artisans.
With the theme “Art Meets Gastronomy”, the event is expected to offer a multi-sensory experience on Son Tra Peninsula, from lively beach parties and Michelin-standard dinners to cocktail performances and live music shows.
Among the featured guests are designer Bill Bensley, three-Michelin-star chef Christian Le Squer, Japanese chef Junichi Yoshida and culinary artisans from Vietnam, Hong Kong (China) and Thailand.
The festival will officially open on June 6 with a beach food festival at Rang Dua Beach. Set in a private beachfront space amid the natural surroundings of Son Tra Peninsula, the event will feature curated culinary booths, cocktail bars, live music performances and a beachside barbecue buffet around a bonfire.
The opening night will feature culinary artisan Anh Tuyet and chef Loïc Portalier from one-Michelin-star restaurant Louise. The pairing of Vietnamese culinary traditions and French cooking techniques is expected to bring a fresh experience to diners.
Other highlights include the Festival Sunday Brunch at Citron, featuring a premium buffet and Billecart-Salmon champagne, as well as a series of six-hand dinners at Tingara from June 7 to 10 with Michelin-starred chefs. A special dinner hosted by chef Junichi Yoshida will also take place on June 11.
Among the festival’s notable events is “Bensley x Le Squer: The Art of Joie de Vivre”, scheduled for June 10 and 11 at La Maison 1888, the only one-Michelin-star restaurant in central Vietnam.
A new collection of paintings by Bill Bensley inspired by the red-shanked douc langur- a rare primate regarded as a treasure of Son Tra Peninsula, will serve as inspiration for a specially crafted French menu by Christian Le Squer.
The combination of visual art and fine dining is expected to offer a distinctive experience while further strengthening Da Nang’s standing on the international tourism and culinary map.
Alongside international guests, the festival will also honour Vietnamese cuisine through the participation of chefs representing the country’s contemporary culinary scene, including Hoang Tung of T.U.N.G Dining and Cuong Nguyen of An’s Saigon. Together with culinary artisan Anh Tuyet, they will present Vietnamese cultural stories through modern and creative flavours.
Artisan Stories is set to become a gathering point for lovers of food, art and experiential travel, while helping promote Da Nang as an international-class destination in summer 2026.
