Local singer appears in Spotify campaign on Times Square billboard
VOV.VN - Vietnamese pop star Thieu Bao Tram was featured on a Times Square billboard in New York on June 22 as part of a promotion for music streaming platform Spotify.
The billboard has been launched as part of Spotify’s EQUAL campaign which aims to highlight the work of female creators from all over the world who feature on the online streaming platform. It also seeks to popularize the message of gender equality among women working in the music industry.
The female musicians taking part in the campaign were selected from 35 different international markets spanning over 50 countries.
Singer Thieu Bao Tram earlier also appeared in the Simply K-Pop Con-tour programme on June 13 which was officially broadcast on the Republic of Korea’s Arirang TV channel to promote Vietnamese music.
At the Simply K-Pop Con-tour, Tram introduced the audience to her mini-album “after YOU” and the music video to “Chung ta lam ban duoc khong?”, known as “Can we be friends?” in English.
The Vietnamese signer also expressed her strong desire to introduce different genres of music to everyone in the future, including Pop and R&B.
All of the five songs in her mini-album also held the top positions on iTunes Vietnam's most listened songs chart. Her latest music video currently has more than two million views and over 53,000 likes.
