Van Mai Huong appears in Spotify campaign on Times Square billboard

VOV.VN - Vietnamese pop star Van Mai Huong has been featured on a billboard in Times Square in New York for music streaming platform Spotify.

The billboard has been launched as part of Spotify’s EQUAL campaign which highlights the work of women creators from all over the world who appear on the online streaming platform. It also aims to provide equality among women working within the music industry.

The female musicians were selected from across 35 international markets, spanning across more than 50 countries.

Writing on her personal page, Huong expressed her pride at joining Spotify’s EQUAL campaign, particularly as it aims to honour the talent and music of female artists from throughout the world.

Huong was the runner-up during the second season of Vietnam Idol in 2010. The following year her first solo Neu Nhu Anh Den (If You Come), a pop song with sweet lyrics about love, became a hit among young people.

The 26-year-old singer picked up the Most Favourite Female Singer award for the second consecutive time at this year's Ho Chi Minh City Television Awards.

Recently, Huong released her latest album Huong (Scent) which received a number of compliments from fans.
