He will be one of the featured guests in the Korean Cinema Spotlight exchange programme, a highlight of this year’s festival. His participation follows earlier confirmations from fellow Korean stars Ji Chang Wook and Moon So Ri.

Park, 52, began his acting career in 1997 and has since appeared in numerous films and television series. He is best known for his roles as a gangster in New World (2013) and a serial killer in The Deal (2015).

He has received several major awards, including Best Supporting Actor at the Baeksang Arts Awards in 2013 and 2015, as well as the Top Excellence Award for Actor in a Miniseries (Genre/Action) at the SBS Drama Awards in 2023.

First launched in 2023, DANAFF is co-organised by the Vietnam Film Development Association (VFDA) and the Da Nang People’s Committee. The third edition will span seven days and feature more than 100 curated films—up from 46 in the first edition and 63 in the second.
