VOV.VN - Renowned Korean actress, film director, and screenwriter Moon So Ri will travel to Vietnam to take part in the third Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF III), scheduled to run from June 29 to July 5.

According to the organisers, Moon So Ri will be among the key guests of the Korean Cinema Spotlight exchange programme, one of the highlights of this year’s festival. She will be accompanied by her husband, director Jang Joon Hwan, who will serve on the jury for the Asian Features category.
Now 51, Moon So Ri is a celebrated figure in Korean cinema. She gained international recognition after winning the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Emerging Actress at the 2002 Venice Film Festival. Her notable performances include leading roles in Oasis (2002), A Good Lawyer's Wife (2003), and When Life Gives You Tangerines (2025).
This marks Moon So Ri’s second time attending DANAFF. In 2023, she served on the jury for the Asian Film category and had the opportunity to explore Hoi An Ancient Town and sample traditional Vietnamese cuisine.
Launched in 2023, DANAFF is co-organised by the Vietnam Film Development Association (VFDA) and the Da Nang People’s Committee. The third edition of the festival will span seven days and feature more than 100 carefully curated films, up from 46 in the inaugural edition and 63 in the second.
