Khanh Nhu to compete at Miss International 2026
VOV.VN - Miss World Vietnam 2025 first runner-up Le Phuong Khanh Nhu will represent Vietnam at the 64th Miss International 2026 to be held in Japan this November.
With a strong academic background, well-rounded skills and a progressive mindset, she is expected to popularise a confident and distinctive image of Vietnam on the international stage, the organisers revealed on April 22.
Khanh Nhu was selected from a shortlist of five potential candidates, which also included Miss World Vietnam 2023 Huynh Tran Y Nhi, Miss World Vietnam 2025 second runner-up Truong Tam Nhu, Miss National Vietnam 2024 first runner-up Do Thi Phuong Thanh and Miss National Vietnam 2024 second runner-up Nguyen Thi Cam Ly.
Earlier, many fans had backed Y Nhi for the role, but she opted to continue her studies in Australia after completing her reign.
The announcement of Khanh Nhu has been met with positive feedback, with fans praising her fresh beauty, academic achievements and alignment with the Miss International criteria.
Born in 2004 in Khanh Hoa province, the 22-year-old beauty stands 1.69m tall with measurements of 85-59-95cm. She is a student at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and has received academic scholarships for outstanding performance. Nhu is also noted for her confident communication skills, having worked as a bilingual Master of Ceremonies (MC).
Active in competitions and extracurricular activities, the Vietnamese representative has won several titles, including first runner-up at the Vietnam Student Beauty contest (Southern region) 2023, and top prizes at MC and translation competitions.
Vietnam has recorded strong results at Miss International in recent years. In 2024, Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy became the first Vietnamese winner of the title. Nguyen Phuong Nhi reached the top 15 in 2023, Tuong San placed in the top 8 in 2019, and Pham Hong Thuy Van was named third runner-up in 2015.
