The news was unveiled following a meeting on August 12 between the organisers Silk Fashion World Co. Ltd and the administration of Khanh Hoa.

At the meeting, representatives from Silk Fashion World proposed to change the venue of the beauty contest’s final round from April 2 Square in Nha Trang city to Vinh Hy Bay. Currently, the organising committee is receiving applications from contestants nationwide.

The preliminary and semi-final rounds of the contest will take place from September 1 to 10 in Ho Chi Minh City, whilst Khanh Hoa will play host to the final round from September 11 to 20.

A diverse range of activities will take place on the sidelines of the contest, such as a press conference to announce the crown on September 13, a fashion show on September 17, along with other culinary and cultural activities and exhibitions promoting OCOP products.

During the final round, 40 contestants will take part in promotional filming, local tourism introduction, social charity activities, and environmental protection campaigns.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Long Bien approved the proposal and requested the Organising Committee to arrange additional activities featuring artistic performances, culinary experiences, and cultural events that showcase the unique products of Khanh Hoa province.

He urged the committee to promptly develop a comprehensive plan for the contest and detailed programmes for each activity, enabling coordination with relevant provincial authorities.

First held in 2014, the competition has previously crowned Dang Thu Thao in 2014, Le Au Ngan Anh in 2017, May Nguyen in 2019, and Tran Thi Thu Uyen in 2023. The beauty pageant aims to promote environmental awareness and select the Vietnamese representative to the Miss Ocean World competition.
