K-pop star Daesung to hold concert in HCM City this July

VOV.VN - Daesung, the main vocalist of internationally renowned K-pop group Big Bang, is scheduled to perform in Ho Chi Minh City on July 6 as part of his Asian tour “Daesung Fan Day Tour: D’s Road”.

The event will mark the first time that a member of Big Bang will hold a fan meeting and a concert in the nation.

His Asian tour “Daesung Fan Day Tour: D’s Road” began on March 16 in the Republic of Korea after he released his latest album titled “Falling Slow”. The event marked the first time that the male singer held an interaction with the Asian fan community as a solo artist.

The tour will see him travel through to several Asian cities such as Taipei, Bangkok, and Macau, before then arriving in Ho Chi Minh City on July 6.

Daesung (real name Kang Dae Sung), 35, made his debut with K-pop group Big Bang in 2006 and began his solo career in 2008 with his first single “Look at me, Gwisun”.

In 2013, he released a Japanese album called “D'scover” and achieved plenty of success in this market.

Often referred to as the "King of K-pop", Big Bang achieved international acclaim as the first Republic of Korea’s artist to make Forbes’ "Celebrity 100" in 2016 and were listed among the "30 Under 30" as some of the most influential musicians worldwide in 2017.
