K-pop Lovers Festival to return to Hanoi this July with vibrant activities

VOV.VN - The Korean Cultural Centre in Vietnam, in collaboration with the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) and Seoul Shinmun Daily, is set to host the K-Pop Lovers Festival 2025, an annual celebration dedicated to K-pop fans and Korean cultural enthusiasts in Vietnam.

The event is scheduled to take place at Tran Nhan Tong Walking Street in Hanoi on July 19 – 20, said the organisers.

Following the success of the 2024 edition, which attracted tens of thousands of visitors, this year’s festival promises an even more vibrant and immersive experience. Attendees can look forward to diverse activities across multiple zones, including decorating K-pop items at the K-POP FANGIRL ZONE, dancing to K-pop with AI at K-POP DANCE, freely showing off singing talents like an idol at K-POP SING ALONG, and exploring Korean tourism at K-TRAVEL.

In particular, the two nights of K-pop singing and dancing will be the most anticipated K-pop stage of the year for the K-pop lover community.

On the evening of July 19, the 10 most talented dance groups of K-pop Cover Dance Festival 2025 selected from Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City will have the chance to show their passion for K-pop through impressive K-pop cover dance performances with choreographer/dancer Yechan from the 1Million Dance Studio which trains top Korean singers and bands and singer My Anh of Vietnam.

The following day, the 13 most outstanding young people in K-pop singing from Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City will show off their talents on the big stage alongside famous Vietnamese singers such as Lam Bao Ngoc and Cong B.

The best performing group out of a total of 10 groups in the singing category will then participate in the K-pop Cover Dance Festival World Final 2025 organised by Seoul Shinmun Daily scheduled for September in Seoul, the Republic of Korea.

“K-pop has become one of the most beloved Korean cultural exports worldwide. I hope this year’s festival will offer a meaningful and entertaining experience for all fans, while strengthening cultural ties between Korea and Vietnam. We will continue to organize exciting and inclusive cultural events for a broader audience in the future,” said Choi Seung Jin, director of the Korean Cultural Centre in Vietnam, ahead of the festival.

The K-pop Lovers Festival has been held annually in Vietnam since 2013, with a brief interruption in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event resumed in 2022 and has continued to grow in popularity ever since.

The festival is open for free. All information is updated on the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/vietnamkcc/.
