Japanese traditional drum troupe to return to Vietnam

VOV.VN - Japan’s traditional drum troupe Bati-Holic is set to go on a performance tour of Vietnam this March after 10 years.

The artists will mark their return with a concert at the Youth Theatre in Hanoi on March 22 and another at Ben Thanh Theatre in Ho Chi Minh City on March 26, according to the event organizer - the Japan Foundation Centre for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam.

Formed in 2004, Bati-Holic, is known for their Taiko Drum Rock style, combining the powerful beats of taiko drums with lively shamisen melodies, creating a unique and captivating sound. Over their 20-year career, the band has gained a dedicated fan base worldwide, performing in 25 cities across 8 countries.

The troupe staged the first concert at the Nippon Genki Festival in Ho Chi Minh City in 2012, and the second during the Hue Festival 2014.

This is the third time they have performed in Vietnam, giving a special opportunity for Vietnamese fans to enjoy Bati-Holic's energetic and innovative performances.
