Indian boxing movie to be shown for free

The Indian Cultural Centre in Hanoi will screen a famous Indian movie, Mary Kom, at the Indian Cultural Centre in Tran Hung Dao Street on October  13.

Mary Kom is a 2014 Indian biographical sports film depicting the incredible journey of the Indian female boxer Mary Kom who won the 2008 AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships. 

She is also a five-time World Amateur Boxing champion, and the only woman boxer to have won a medal in each one of six consecutive world championships.  In 2010 she was decorated with the Padma Shri, India’s fourth highest civilian honour and, in 2013, the Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian award.
