The event, titled “Welcome All The Stars to Bangkok,” was the opening ceremony of MGI All Stars 2026, gathering 58 contestants from 38 countries and territories worldwide.

The opening night was vibrant, featuring the introduction of each contestant. Huong Giang received much applause for her confident appearance, showcasing her charming style and the ability to master the stage.

The most anticipated moment of the opening night was the announcement of the Stars World Famous Award which is decided entirely by fan votes on the Miss Grand International fan page and Instagram.

Huong Giang received the award together with Alexia Nunez of the Philippines and Francia Cortez of Mexico.

At age of 34, Giang represented Vietnam in the first season of the MGI All Stars beauty pageant. Previously she was crowned Miss International Queen 2018. In November 2025 she competed in Miss Universe 2025 and finished in the Top 30.

MGI All Stars is a special edition organised by the Miss Grand International to bring together contestants who have made their mark in major international beauty pageants. According to the organisers, the final competition will take place on May 30 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The organisers announced that the winners will receive cash prizes ranging from US$100,000 to US$1million.
