Huong Giang to represent Vietnam at Miss Grand International All Stars
VOV.VN - Vietnamese model and singer Nguyen Huong Giang will represent Vietnam at the inaugural Miss Grand International (MGI) All Stars, MGI organisers announced on January 13.
The pageant, set to begin in Thailand on May 18, is a global platform for women and transgender women who have achieved distinction on international beauty pageant stages but have not won a top title.
Huong Giang is one of Southeast Asia’s most prominent transgender public figures, with a career spanning music, television and entertainment production. She rose to national prominence as the first transgender contestant on Vietnam Idol, a milestone that reshaped public perceptions of transgender representation in Vietnamese media.
She has since released multiple hit songs, appeared in popular television programmes and played a leading role in national entertainment productions, including Miss Universe Vietnam.
Huong Giang is deeply committed to empowering underrepresented communities, particularly women and the LGBTQ+ community. A symbol of courage, transformation, and purpose, she continues to inspire across borders and now proudly takes her place on the global stage as part of MGI All Stars, the organisers added.
Huong Giang was crowned Miss International Queen in 2018, one of the world’s most prestigious transgender beauty pageants. In November 2025, she also made headlines as the first transgender Asian contestant to compete at the Miss Universe pageant.
According to MGI organisers, the All Stars edition is open to candidates aged 20 to 40, with no restrictions on marital status or motherhood. The final night is scheduled for May 30, when the winner will receive the All Stars Crown and a prize package valued between US$100,000 and US$1 million.
