Ho Chi Minh City brings Vietnamese culture to Japanese friends
VOV.VN -The Vietnam – Ho Chi Minh City Festival will take place on November 8 and 9, 2025, at Edion Hisaya Plaza Park in Aichi Prefecture, Nagoya, Japan. The event is organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the Festival Organizing Committee in Aichi and the Ho Chi Minh City Arts Center.
The festival shows a joint effort to strengthen friendship, promote cultural exchange, and economic cooperation between Vietnam, particularly Ho Chi Minh City, and Japan's Aichi Prefecture.
Hosted by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, with the participation of Ho Chi Minh City’s Tourism Ambassador to Japan, Hirose Noriko, and support from local authorities and business communities in both regions, the event provides an opportunity to showcase the country, its people, and Vietnamese culture in an authentic and vibrant way to an international audience.
Beyond a cultural celebration, the festival serves as a space for community connection, where overseas Vietnamese can meet, interact, and celebrate their homeland through music, dance, and products rich in national identity.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of performances by renowned artists, the ABC dance troupe, and other Vietnamese performers. Highlights include traditional instrumental ensembles; artistic roller-skating acrobatics “Dance of Love”; traditional water puppetry; and performances by singers Vo Ha Tram, Dong Hung, and others, creating a warm atmosphere infused with Vietnamese spirit.
The festival symbolizes cultural exchange and people-to-people friendship between Ho Chi Minh City and Aichi. It contributes to boosting bilateral cooperation, deepening mutual understanding, and strengthening people-to-people diplomacy between Vietnam and Japan.
In addition to artistic performances, the festival features displays of traditional cultural products, tourism promotion, and Vietnamese cuisine, highlighting Ho Chi Minh City as a dynamic, friendly, and culturally rich metropolis.
The event also provides an occasion for Vietnamese living in Japan to connect, support each other in work and study, and turn their hearts to their homeland through song, dance, and the familiar warmth of Vietnam.
