HCM City to promote culture and cuisine at Japan festival in November

VOV.VN - The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has unveiled plans for the Ho Chi Minh City Festival in Japan 2025, set to take place on November 1-2 at the Tokyo International Forum.

Organised to mark the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam–Japan Festival in Ho Chi Minh City, this first-time event hosted in Japan is held under the theme “Holding Hands Together” and co-organised by the HCM City Department of Foreign Affairs alongside the event’s organising board in Japan.

The program will feature a wide range of cultural and artistic activities, including cai luong (reformed opera), Don Ca Tai Tu (southern folk music), traditional martial arts, Ao Dai shows, Vietnamese and Japanese traditional costume performances, and film screenings.

In addition, around 200 booths featuring trade, tourism, culture, and cuisine will be arranged in the business networking area. Several thematic exhibitions on culture, socio-economic topics, and Vietnam–Japan cooperation will be held as part of the event.

Within the festival framework, seminars on trade and investment promotion, tourism introduction, and business networking between the two countries will be organised, aiming to beef up comprehensive cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Japanese localities.
