Hanoians celebrate Vietnam Poetry Day

Poetry embodies the country’s traditions, said Poet Huu Thinh, in a speech at the opening ceremony, noting that poems capture the depth of emotions, thought and aspiration that guide every Vietnamese woman and man.

Poets from all over the country have gathered at the poetry yard of the Temple for poetry readings and other activities to celebrate the day such as a photo exhibition.

There are also special activities for child poets to participate.
