Hanoi welcomes wordsmiths for Vietnamese Poetry Slam

VOV.VN - Following the success of the first Vietnamese poetry slam in 2017, a repeat of the event will be held at L'Espace, 24 Trang Tien St in Hanoi on the evening of February 27 by the French Embassy and the Francophone International Institute.

Vietnamese poetry slam in 2017
The program aims to make poetry accessible and appealing to the public and foster friendship ties between Vietnam and Francophone member countries.

The prize for first place in the contest will be a return ticket to France and accommodation fees during his/her stay to attend International Poetry Slam from May 8-13.

The organizing board will also present prizes for second and third places and souvenirs to awardees.

Since it was first organised in the US in 1986, the Poetry Slam has become a global cultural event.
