Hanoi to host Asia Dance Festival 2024
VOV.VN - Hundreds of artists from the Republic of Korea, India, Japan, Mongolia, and the host Vietnam will gather in Hanoi from December 2 to December 4 to participate in the Asia Dance Festival 2024.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the event will provide a chance for artists to come together to introduce and promote the value of Asian dance art to international friends.
Furthermore, Vietnamese and foreign dance artists are expected to exchange various experiences through performances imbued with the national cultural identity of each territory and country depicting the colours of daily life.
This comes after the International Dance Festival 2024 took place in August in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue, with the event bringing together nearly 500 artists from 17 troupes representing Laos, the Philippines, China, India, Indonesia, Cambodia, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
A total of five gold and 10 silver medals were awarded to outstanding performances at the function, including two gold medals for artists from the Vietnam Dance Academy and the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet (VNOB).
