Hanoi hosts cultural programmes ahead of election day
VOV.VN - Several cultural programmes were held across Hanoi on the evening of March 14 to welcome the upcoming election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
Art performances, variety shows and mobile film screenings took place at several venues in the capital, attracting many residents.
The Hanoi Cultural and Library Centre organised an outdoor art programme titled Festival of the People at the stage of the Phuc Loc commune People’s Committee. At the same time, a mobile film screening combined with live performances was held at Gia Lam Park, drawing many local residents.
The programme in Phuc Loc featured music and dance performances praising the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh, love for the homeland and pride in the capital. Well-known songs such as Sang mai niem tin, Tuoi xuan dang Dang, La phieu niem tin and Viet Nam tu hao tiep buoc tuong lai were carefully staged, creating a solemn and welcoming atmosphere for the audience.
At Gia Lam Park, audiences watched the documentary Đảng Cộng sản Việt Nam – Vì dân tộc Việt Nam: Tư duy mới, cách làm đột phá (The Communist Party of Vietnam – For the Vietnamese Nation: New Thinking, Breakthrough Actions). The screening was followed by an art programme featuring songs such as Quốc hội Việt Nam ngời sáng niềm tin (Vietnam’s National Assembly Shining with Trust), Hà Nội niềm tin và hy vọng (Hanoi – Faith and Hope) and Tự hào là tương lai Việt Nam (Proud to Be the Future of Vietnam). The performances conveyed messages of unity and public confidence in the Party and the State.
Through a range of cultural and film activities, the programmes helped highlight the significance of the upcoming election while creating a lively atmosphere among Hanoi residents ahead of voting day.
In the same spirit, the Hanoi Circus and Variety Arts Theatre coordinated with the People’s Committee of Suoi Hai commune and a local service centre to organise another cultural programme titled Festival of the Nation on the evening of March 14.
The programme featured music and dance performances praising the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, love for the country and the spirit of national unity. Audiences also enjoyed circus and variety acts including juggling performances, clowns, hoop acts, magic shows, a giant python act, trained dogs and artistic balloon displays.
These performances brought entertainment to local residents, especially children, and added to the lively community atmosphere ahead of election day.
